When I first saw Ron Klein in person up close, and heard him speak -the word,
"weasel" immediately came to mind.

After having witnessed him in-performance at numerous appearances since that time, this characterization has only been reinforced. So now, when I see him, that word (weasel) seems to be stenciled in bright red letters right across his chest.

After reading a recent rant against Allen West, in one of Klein's hate-filled, off-the-wall, illogical, idiotic, looney-tunes campaign diatribes, I began to think that "weasel" just doesn't fully describe this little twerp to my complete satisfaction. So, before casting about for a better word or a more precise word, I hauled out my well-worn copy of "The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language" and I looked up
the word, "weasel":

1. "Any of various carnivorous mammals of the genus Mustela . . ."

Well, that certainly fits this ambulance-chasing bugger to a tee.

2. "A treacherous or sneaky person."

No argument there.

3. "To be evasive, to equivocate. To back out of a situation or commitment in a sneaky
or cowardly manner."

Well, I'll be doggone. I had the right word in the first place, didn't I?

I once came across a definition of the term “Political Correctness”, it went like this, “A set of unwritten rules that determine what you are free to say under the guise of tolerance as set down by the liberal left”. That sort of sums up one of the most destructive philosophical attacks upon our U.S. Constitution that has been attempted in over 200 years of our republic. It has affected all aspects of our lives from small children to our senior citizens (a nice politically correct term, I might add).

People today have to be very careful not to “break the rules” or they will face the punishment of the “P.C. Police”, who are unelected, undocumented and self-proclaimed busybodies and “know-it-alls” , who will try to control your thoughts and actions so as to have you comply with their “rules and regulations”, whatever they might be?

The major area where “political correctness has raised its ugly head is in the area of race relations. As we all know, we, the citizens of the U.S., are covered by the 1st Amendment of our Constitution which guarantees free speech, with a certain few restrictions. Well, that's the way it was supposed to be before P.C. took hold in our society. What is ironic is that the people who are accused of not being “politically correct” are mainly from the conservative side of the political spectrum. The list includes the following people such as, Don Imus, Rush Limbaugh, former Sen. George Allen, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona and many other “right” thinking people.

The old saying of “Who died and left you boss”, certainly applies to the people who are looking to jump into any controversy that might give them a partisan advantage. Some of the people who come to mind as being self-elected “P.C. Police” are the “Rhyming Reverends” of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. God forbid, anyone, deliberately or not, says something which they don't approve of or sanction, then their “manufactured” outrage, by these “racial hustlers”, will be manifested in by their beating of the drum and by using the “race card” to generate compliance with or by having someone fired or have them thrown upon the the scrap heap of public scorn and derision. It seems their only concern is the preconceived “dissing” of a black person by a white person, never, it seems, of a black person “dissing” a white person. That's a blatant example of a double standard, to say the least. Isn't that a form of racism?

The “P.C. Police” have extended their scope, in the past few years, to areas other than race such as, physical disabilities, ethnic/religious heritage, gender, sexual orientation and a host of other areas where perceived insensitivity might occur. This has put a major crimp in our social fabric as everyone now has to to think twice or three times about the consequences of what they might say or what they may do. There was a time, in the not to distant past, that untoward behavior or slander upon another was treated by ostracism and rebuke, and not by filing a frivolous lawsuit. During that former time, comedy routines were filled with disses and exaggerations putting down others, and it was met with laughter and acceptance. Very seldom did anybody take real offense at what was said. A couple of years ago, Don Imus found out, the hard way, that a twist of a phrase in quest of a laugh, could get you fired or suspended from your job, even after a sincere apology was offered to make amends. There is no forgiveness for conservative, white or black folk. They are guilty forever.

This insanity has got to stop or we'll create such animosity between the people that our country will be split even worse than it is now with our supposed post-racial president at the helm. Everybody should lighten up and not feign outrage when no outrage was intended or which doesn't exist. In the words of that famed philosopher, Rodney King, “Can't we all just get along”?

Beware The Tea Party

While the media has spent much ink and effort writing, mostly negatively, about The Tea Party movement their disinformation has not stymied this voter revolution. The TP impact has been felt from Delaware to Alaska and their initiative is only 2 years old. The warning that the left-leaning media has failed to receive is that they and their beloved Democrats are at peril for their continued campaign to discredit rather than listen to the message.

Tea Partiers are, like Democrats, mostly white, but hardly racist. They include Latinos, as do Democrats, but are not "Latinphobes" opposed to immigrants…only illegals. They are predominantly over 40 but are not the AARP crowd, and they include, as do the Democrats, teachers and union members, even some Hollywood-types and gays, though gonads are not their calling.
They are highly educated, mostly middle class, many are veterans, and they have little history as political activists. What they are not is yahoos or bigots or ignorant or haters.
What Tea Partiers all are is angry and frustrated with the direction in which our government is headed. They despise elected officials who see themselves as anointed, entitled and beyond reproach; office holders who pass major legislation they neither read nor understand; men and women whose bills apply to all except themselves; people who chatter about economics and taxes and housing and derivatives, courtesy of comments prepared by staffers, without the faintest idea of what their remarks truly mean. They resent a President and a congress that would beggar our children with impunity all in the name of party and power, and who promote a radical agenda that is counterintuitive and may wreck a capitalist system they admire.

This November those who belittle The Tea Party and denigrate their cause will pay an horrific political price for their obstinance.
Congress will lose dozens of "true believers" who will then learn firsthand how truly tough the job market is, how little publishers will pay for drab political biographies, and how few openings the private sector has for marketers and managers whose only "skill set" is legislating. And with any luck K Street, the hub of lobbyists, will not extend open arms to those who bit the hands that fed them.

That phrase, that was first used by poet Thomas Gray in 1742, can be used to describe the people who ardently follow our “Appeaser in Chief”, Barack Hussein Obama. A quick definition would be, “what you don’t know won’t hurt you so you’ll remain in a state of eternal happiness (bliss) by not knowing”.

But, little do these mind-numbed robots realize that by sticking to their flawed liberal ideology, they can’t see the danger that Obama’s policies foretell for our country.

A perfect example is the canned reply of most all liberals that it was Bush’s fault that we are in this dilemma today and that he left us with a tremendous debt. That’s partly true, but being ignorant of the facts, like most liberals are, they don’t realize (or refuse to admit) that in 1 ½ years, Obama has created more debt than Bush did in 8 years. This year’s deficit is approaching $1.5 trillion and will continue being over $1 trillion for years to come. Overspending and running up obscene deficits should be a red flag to anyone with half an economic brain to fathom that our country is heading to become another basket case like the country of Greece. But, remember, “Ignorance is bliss” to his Kool-Aid drinkers. He, Obama, can do no wrong and to say otherwise you must be a “racist” (the acceptable term used by liberals to describe anyone who questions the policies of the “Anointed One”). It doesn’t matter what the criticism is – its “verboten” to say anything negative about our fist black President. To do otherwise brings down the wrath of liberal media types, black organizations (NAACP, New Black Panther Party, Black Muslims etc.) and the “racial arsonists” like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Sensitivity to any criticism of any black or Latino person seems to activate a knee-jerk reaction of the incendiary charge of “racism”. The misinformation put out by the aforementioned “racial hustlers” in the Shirley Sherrod case and by some “prominent white” Democrat politicians, is a perfect case in point. The accusations that Fox News was responsible for the leaking of her remarks before an NAACP meeting in Georgia earlier in the year were completely unfounded. In fact, even days after the event, Howard Dean, former head of the DNC, went on T.V. and accused Fox of fomenting the offending story. He had to be shamed on T.V. to admit he was mistaken, but not having any shame he continued on his “racist” rant against Fox News making himself look like a fool. He is the poster boy for the old adage of, “don’t confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up”.

All the liberals who jumped on the fire Sherrod bandwagon could be painted with the “ignorance is bliss” brush, but being a liberal they will not have to say they are sorry because they are “better” than anyone else and they are beyond criticism because all their critics are “racists”. Alas, alas, alas! Ignorance surely is bliss.

He's doing the best that he can do, give him time he's only been President for two years, it takes time to turn the country around, how many times have you heard these excuses put forth by the Democrats to explain why Obama is having a problem selling his policies to the American people? That's where the quote by Jean Giraudoux, a diplomat, comes into play that, “Only the Mediocre are Always at their Best”.

The Democrats proclaim that all the Republicans just say “NO” to what the President proposes or tries to get done, but is that a bad thing if true? Should they just roll over and accede to approve policies that they see as detrimental to our country's best interests? Should they approve of letting the Bush tax cuts expire during an economic downturn? Is proposing a monstrous trillion dollar health care bill something that should be approved while we are rolling up trillion dollar deficits? Should the Republicans approve of policies that will increase our energy costs under the false attempt to control “Mother Nature” by passing a “Cap and Trade (Tax) Climate Bill” that will raise gasoline prices and electric rates for all Americans? These are just a few of the policies that the “evil” Republicans said “NO” to, are they wrong? By saying “NO”, are Obama's critics “racist” (as his supporters falsely claim incessantly) or are they just using everyday, economic common sense. You make the call!

When Obama claims that we (the U.S.A.) are no longer exceptional, he implies that we should be “mediocre” so that other countries don't feel inferior to us. Is he for real? We have been the leader of the world for most of the last century because we were exceptional in practically all aspects of life. Is that really a bad thing? Instead of being a detriment, it has been an asset to everyone in the world – imagine what the world would be like if we were just mediocre instead of exceptional?

Winston Churchill once said that “Capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings, the inherent virtue of socialism (Marxism) is the equal sharing of misery”. The policies of the Obama Administration of “sharing the wealth” (income redistribution), is a form of Marxist doctrine. The Republicans say “NO” to that – are they wrong? Should we be striving to be exceptional or should we just settle for being mediocre? The answer, to me, is a no-brainer, so vote out the “bums” on November 2 to change the direction of our country so we can reclaim our exceptional status.

Get Your Facts Right!

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009
-- it was actually January 3rd 2007.

The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives & Senate, the start of the 110th Congress.

The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

"For those of you who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault," think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:

At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!

Remember the day.

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS!

(BTW: READ HERE - Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy).

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac?

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?

OBAMA & the Democratic Congress

So when some idiot tries to blame Bush

Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving.

I wondered - - -

I wondered how our two local Jewish Congressmen Ted Deutch(D) and Ron Klein(D) felt about Obama sending the ‘moderate Muslim Imam’ of the proposed Ground Zero mosque in NYC, to tour the Middle East and solicit funding for the construction of that cynical tribute by the ‘religion of peace’ to the heinous actions by 19 radical-terrorist Muslims on 9-11?

I called the local office of Robert Wexler’s anointee Ted Deutch (District 19) and put the question to a staffer. ‘Sam’ who took the call, hadn’t spoken to Deutch about the issue but informed me that since it was a local NYC issue, the Congressman wouldn’t comment on it. When I informed ‘Sam’ that this was more than a ‘local’ issue since the U.S. Department of State was sponsoring this venture, he said that this is the first he’d heard of it – and said he reads the Sun-Sentinel every day. He inquired as to where I’d heard this? I didn’t have the dates or media sources at my fingertips so, I decided that if he is genuinely interested, he can pursue it on his own. He might learn also, about Secretary Hillary’s enthusiastic support of Obama’s action as detailed in her public comments on the decision.

A call to Ron Klein’s D.C. office (FL Dist.22) with the same question was greeted with equally weary response - “I really don’t know how the Congressman feels about this.” However, the staffer did express a willingness to take the question and get back to me with the Congressman’s response. I was thrilled beyond words at the offer. Lots of luck. I don’t need the ‘kiss-off’ of a meaningless form letter skirting the issue – even though it would be printed on ‘official’ U. S. House of Representatives stationery with a facsimile signature in blue ink, that might arrive in 4-6 weeks - especially knowing that it would be paid for with my own taxes.

So, here we have two Jewish Democrats representing two local districts, each of which contains sizable populations of Jewish constituents – and apparently, neither of them has a stated position on this crucial issue that is readily available for interested constituents. Each of these Democrats however, has stated his unequivocal support for the policies of House Speaker Pelosi and of President Obama, whose anti-Israel, pro-Muslim/pro-Islam policies are being proclaimed to the world as U. S. foreign policy.

Can there be any doubt about where Deutch and Klein stand regarding Obama’s strong support of radical Islam?

Now, you long-time, loyal (D) voters - aren’t you just so deliriously happy with this kind of representation that you want to keep sending such creeps and cowards back to Washington to help Obama destroy Israel? And, to convert the USA into a third-world Communist basket-case?

Are you kidding me? Or more to the point, ‘Are you going to continue kidding yourselves?’

My elders, when I was a young lad and impressionable, used to repeat that old adage to me when I wanted to give up on a certain project, it was “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”. That was sound advice about not giving up when you try to do something, because failure sometimes is the stepping stone to future success, but the admonition by Albert Einstein might be even more appropriate in some cases, it goes like this; “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.

Can’t this admonition by Einstein apply to the fiscal policies of the Obama Administration? After pushing through an $800 billion “Stimulus Plan” and stating that it would jump start the economy and that unemployment wouldn’t go beyond 8%, neither of which happened, you’d think that Einstein’s words would have resonated with Obama and the Democrats? But, it looks like they both have “tin ears” and they continue to float the idea that more “stimulus” is needed by using more non-existent taxpayer money to be thrown down a rat hole. The first “Stimulus” has been a total failure.

When you have an economy where everything that should be up is down, and everything that should be down is up, you’d think a “sane” person(s) would attempt to change course to find alternatives for the failed policies that were put into place. One problem, Obama, Biden, and the other “Keystone Kops” in the Administration, don’t think that their policies have failed. They are still calling this the “Summer of Recovery” when it should be called the “Summer of Discontent”.

Obama seems to want to please everybody and to be a “person of the world” (whatever that means). In the process, he winds up pleasing no one. Last year, he butted into the Cambridge Police matter with his friend Professor Gates before he knew all the facts. He should’ve kept out of that local matter because he made the situation worse because of the words he used. Not learning from that experience, he forced his opinions in the Arizona border dispute without ever reading the statute in question, and just recently, he chimed into the proposed mosque dispute about erecting a mosque/community center near “Ground Zero” in NYC. In all cases, he stirred up the passions against him and he received zero public relations benefits by going against the thinking of the American people. You’d think a man of his “brilliance” would’ve learned from his mistakes, but if you tend to be a “narcissist” and a person who is a “legend in his own mind”, you can’t or won’t see the forest for the trees.

To continue to promote failed policies in the face of negative results means that he is “marching to a different drummer” or he just doesn’t give a damn. It truly is insanity to do something over and over again and then to expect a different outcome. I guess that is the price we all have to pay for electing such an inexperienced Chicago-machine politician to the office of President.

So, when someone tells you that if at first you don’t succeed, you shouldn’t carry out that admonition to its ridiculous extremes, and that you should realize that it is futile to make fallacious policies work no matter how hard you try, otherwise you fall into the “insanity” category as Einstein envisioned.

President George W. Bush, over the years, has been accused of declaring victory in Iraq prematurely in 2003. Did he really?

The exact words President Bush spoke on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1st, 2003 were as follows:

“Our mission in Iraq continues ...we do not know the day of final victory, but we have seen the turning of the tide”.

All his detractors continually point to the banner with the phrase “Mission Accomplished” as his premature declaration of victory. That banner was made and placed on the ship by the naval brass on the USS Abraham Lincoln and not President Bush.

Compare that with Obama's phrase of the “Summer of Recovery”. Now, that's a bogus claim, it should be called the “Summer of Discontent”. It seems that Obama is standing on the deck of the USS Clueless!
